State Ambassador Outreach Program
In 2003, the State Ambassador Outreach Program was created as an effort to increase the personal contact between the Portrait Society of America's growing membership and the organization. Each State Ambassador serves as a resource for members and interested artists, providing information about the Portrait Society, educational workshops and classes, mentors, museum exhibitions and all things related to the discipline of portraiture within their state.
Currently, we have State Ambassadors in 39 states and 4 continents.
States currently seeking ambassadors are: Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, and International regions of Canada, South America, and Asia.

State Ambassador Mission Statement:
Through the development of the State Ambassador position, it is the goal of the Portrait Society of America to create a greater awareness of portrait and/or figurative art, and to inspire interested artists toward consistent improvements in methods and techniques. It is the hope of the Portrait Society of America that through this type of effort, portrait and/or figurative art can achieve a greater level of appreciation and understanding among all.
